Oh geez, hi. Busy busy weekend... Sister was pinned for nursing Friday night, then had graduation the next day, then my old school's graduation was today, and we just got back... So tired...

yep, really busy here as well (read the top announcement)....and hubby out of town on business again this week....he got a new set of responsibilities at work (a whole new job on top of what he is already doing) and yes, no new pay to go with it.....seems to be the trend these days, why remunerate for something when you can just dump the load on a current employee?
well at least the weather is getting nicer

I just saw the announcement today. That makes me very sad... I've been a member on here for almost 11 years and so for it to be shutting down is a bit depressing... I don't know how active I'll be over on Guru2 as it just never appealed to me. But I guess I'll have to check it a bit more now.

It is crazy how overworked some people are and for no extra pay. Companies just figure they can give it to a current worker on top of that persons load already. It is ridiculous...

Weather is nicer, which is a big plus.

yeah, been here just a wee bit less than you pwnd, and same thing. Just think of all the moderators we have seen come and go, the dramas that happened here, the rage at anet over (put in anet trick here), the joy of new chapters (and the sorrow too)...a big part of my life has been in these very pages...yeah, really depressing (from a bunch of different perspectives too

).

Think its been a way that companies handle things now, why bother to hire someone new when you can just overwork your current employees? (and not pay them anymore).

There have been a lot of changes and a lot of times remembered. Some of the drama I still remember, the bans of some people, and those that have gone and never come back... Guess we just need to treasure the time we have left here.

nah, I wasnt around much before my first post back in dec 2005 (perhaps nov)...so I think you win there pwnd,
and yeah, great memories (ok, some not so great)....only problem I have is as I age, I remember less and less of things that happened --not only here, but in RL too

--- so having this site around and part of my life for 20% of it and to have it soon to be no more, is kind of like forgetting your whole childhood--- (ok, not a good example, am glad I have forgotten loads of that

)...a big portion of my middle age was spent here, and now my kids are off to where ever and I will soon be left with only screen shots and pm emails.....

It was nice to have a place to ourselves pwnd

Sometimes the memories are worth forgetting, if they are bad ones. Oddly those seem to be the ones most people remember... Oh well. This has been a great place for the 11+ years it lasted...

It was nice to have our own personal thread with a few visitors. Guess Guru2 will have to do when I occasionally visit there.

Summer is definitely here. We are consistently hitting in the 80's now. We went straight from a cool spring to this. Of course that means I don't have work until August... so there is that!

you could do what my hs teachers used to do during the summer---paint houses, its one of those things that usually only gets done in the summer (and the extra cash is never a bad thing---).

I worked with a guy who did something very similar to that at my old job. It has never been my favorite activity to do. I have enough classes/training to do this summer along with my wisdom teeth surgery that I should be fairly busy.

Hey that 80's and humidity is better than 10's and snow/ice.

ewwwww wisdom teeth surgery......I remember mine (ok not really, but I do remember the doctor messing up....and them NOT being able to wake me afterwards.....)

Heating bill is generally less but we have been keeping the windows open as much as possible to keep from driving the bill up astronomically...
